Anything is better than this. Seriously, I have to buy tires with the next paycheck but the next good one I get after that I'm probably gonna get a new one. This one also has a burn mark on the screen from where it gets so hot it tries to burn through.

Nope, Googled it an it looks like its bundled with plans like Straight talk... So makes sense it is crap!
That said, it looks like Straight Talk rides the VZW prepaid network, so finding a decent phone for just about any budget shouldn't be hard.

Yeah I have the Straight Talk $45/mo. plan. I'd love to do Verizon Edge or something but I can't really commit more money to my phone plan. :/

My roommate *had* a ZTE something-or-another. Screen broke on the corner. Glass has been slowly falling out. Screen is now completely unusable. Home button stopped working when the screen broke, so after using any app, he'd have to take the battery out and restart it to go home.

No fears then, if you find a decent phone that is VZW compatible you should be able to bring it over to Straight Talk.
